That is a really cool look, you can see from every angle what the forehand looks like. I have never seen that before.

That is really cool, How do they do that?
Posted by: Eric on 2007-08-21Great Analysis
This was a great analysis not only of Ivanovic's forehand but the forehand stroke in general
Posted by: jneve1 on 2007-09-06She has a pretty good forehand
Well it was pretty good i guess. It showed a lot of the angles of the swing and that was pretty good.

I liked how it showed her drop her racket ad follow through the whole way. It made sense that gravity made her racket go faster. It gave her more power and reacket speed.
Posted by: Nathan Allen on 2007-09-06Getting down
I never thought about getting lower with my whole body. Getting your legs into it like that can give you a lot more power and control.

I am a visual learner so this is good for me to be able to watch the forehand grip from different angles and speeds. I think that's it's kind of cool to watch how you should be hitting the ball over and over and let it sink in.

This was really helpful to me. I really liked all of the different angles. Watching it all over and over again helped me with the technique and how the body moves to hit a forehand. I really liked this one!

thats was really kool. i learned a lot from it.

That was really neat. I liked how it showed it slowly and from every angle.

That was a really neat video, if your first learning it could be a lot of help. It shows vividly all of the main points to hitting your forehand.

This was really interesting, it showed from every angle the physics of the forehand, how it comes into contact with the ball, and the way the body twists to hit the ball. I liked how it showed the followthrough with it as well.

This is way helpful for beginners. It shows all the important parts of hitting a forehand.
Posted by: Jordi on 2007-09-10Skill-a-ton!
This video was the most helpful for me cause I tend to lead with my arm, and watching the way his torso turned helped me see how that is the real power of the hit, not in the arm. It changed my way of thinkin... can't wait to try it. I'll be seeing you in court.

This video really breaks down the form and prosses showing it from every speed and angle even showing the mph of the swing! i think this video is a great informative breakdown of the forhand.

I never thought about how the racket falls it gains speed. Also the movement of the hips, and how you step into a hit is also very important in the velocity of the ball.
Posted by: Lmackay on 2007-09-10Forehand
Being able to see exactly how the whole body moves is very helpful.
Posted by: Hillarie Kaumans on 2007-09-10Forehand
I liked this because it showed many views and different speeds of the forehand. It helped me be able to see where my feet and arms should be.
Posted by: Taisha on 2007-09-10Forehand
ok this was the longest weirdest clip I have ever seen. I'm not too into watching a skeleton teaching me how to hit a forehand.
Posted by: Kendra on 2007-09-10FoReHaNd
I never thought of the gravity
part about how it makes the
raquet go faster at a certain
point... it was pretty neat
Posted by: Johndmiles on 2007-09-10Forehand
I think that I need to try a few things at class and the skeloton is a strange thing.
Posted by: Amberlie Kaumans on 2007-09-10Forehand
The line thing where they traced the tip of her racket was really neat and helped me see how the swing should look it was neat to see everything come together for just a normal shot.
Posted by: Brittneybodhaine on 2007-09-11swing
this clip really breaks it down for you and shows exactly the way the body should move when coming in contact with the ball.
Posted by: Vbtcdavid on 2007-09-11oh my fitzy
Andy Fitzell is my hero.... And what a diference the center of gravity has on the result of the ball.
Posted by: Aly Jenkins on 2007-09-11forehand swing
I noticed that the forhand swing makes a heart shape. I realized that as you turn that is when you do your backswing (take your racket back). It was neat to watch the forehand shot from all angles.
Posted by: sevans20 on 2007-09-11Forehand Swing
Being ready for the ball is so important. Getting in ready position and doing all the steps it shows you. It really breaks down the forehand swing i was able to see a lot of the things i do wrong with my swing.
Posted by: Natsmith on 2007-10-30forehand
I liked the way she pointed the racket in the right direction to show exactly what she was trying to acomplish.
Posted by: MichaelHeaton on 2008-01-24Bad to the Bone
I wish there was some commentary with that. It makes good reference to the center of gravity and at the end shows really well how tight here swing is and the angle of her wrist.
Posted by: Ashley on 2008-01-24Anna
She has a big loop on her forehand like I do. Thats cool how you can see every motion on that video. Good job Andy Fitzel.
Posted by: Jaycee Rawlings on 2008-01-24Forehand
That was a very good video it really shows you what a good forehand swing should look like. Also your racket picks up speed greatly as it reaches the ball

I liked the fact that it showed you step by step of what she was doing, it actually made sense! I understood what it was doing, but feel that I need to apply it more.
Posted by: Alexisjoyce on 2008-01-24Forehand
I like it went through every step from what she was aiming for to where the raquet should be at every point
Posted by: Nicole Miya on 2008-01-24forehand
i liked how it showed the forehand from all angles.
Posted by: Ryanboyce on 2008-01-25I didn't know skeletons played tennis
Her backswing of the racket before she hits the ball is just as large as the follow-through after she hits it.
Posted by: Nicolebeecroft on 2008-01-28forehand
i thought it was cool how it traced where the tip of her racket went and color-coded the speed that her racket was going at any given point of the forehand.
Posted by: damdam87 on 2008-01-28skeletons
its amazing what technology can do. I liked how it said that even if you are 25miliseconds before the ball gets to you you can get a good hit.
Posted by: AlexaJensen on 2008-01-28comment for class
I like how it showed all of the main points to hitting a great forehand, this was a great analysis.
Posted by: CaitlinClark on 2008-03-17Body movement
You should be using your entire body in some way during your forehand swing.
